Who is the face behind this skeletal grin?

Quality, from the music to the image, have always been at the core of any successful artists career. In an era where music, technologies, and information have become increasingly convenient resources, we've found ourselves in an environment overrun with half baked ideas and trends, and our attention spans have taken a serious beating. However, amidst this chaos, every now and then something truly special emerges, and it's quite clear to all of us when it arrives.

The production force known as Kill The Noise emerges from the same studio of NY-based avant-garde drum & bass front runner Ewun, as well as the highly regarded mash-up/IDM project Ludachrist. The minds behind these projects are no strangers to the electronic music scene, having already established worldwide followers and travel the globe in various other successful musical endeavors.

Tight production, original, and innovative ideas begin to describe the Kill The Noise sound. Punchy, enormous mixdowns, attention to detail and dynamics, make this sound instantly identifiable in any DJ's set. Since the beginning, these sensibilites have remained constant. However, the world has watched with every release as the sound continues to change and become undeniably stronger.

It seems that whatever sector of electronic music Kill The Noise draws influence from, it is executed with the same level of quality and production mastery that has become expected from the name. You can sense from the productions that there is a mission to learn and explore what can be done with sound, and how to push the envelope, making this an even more exciting project to watch unfold.

This sound that Kill The Noise is know for, has resonated throughout the various channels of the internet and dance communities alike. It has been embraced by both veterans and newer generations of artists and enthusiasts. Commanding attention from its listeners, Kill The Noise has earned support from a diverse selection of taste makers in the global electronic dance music community. Names such as: A-Trak of the famed Fool's Gold Records, Chromeo, Franki Chan of I Heart Comix, Tommy Sunshine, DJ Craze, DJ Klever, LA Riots, Scion Automotive Company, Juxtapoz Magazine, and BBC Radio 1.

This year is already shaping up to be huge for Kill The Noise with a truckload of new material in the pipelines including a debut Album in the works. Perhaps the most ambitious and exciting plan for this year is the announcement of Kill The Noise and DJ Craze's joint venture: "Slow Roast Records". The label will feature long awaited original works from Kill The Noise, DJ Craze, DJ Klever and many others. The label will highlight the diversity of the artists involved and celebrate the trend of evolution, integrity, quality, and mastery they are regarded for.

When all is said and done, the music and the brand speaks for itself. It's obvious that Kill The Noise is on a mission to prove the name to be true: Kill the noise, kill the production, kill the scene, and become one of the most influential names out there.

Thankyou to Paper Chain People radio!

I just want to say thankyou to the local label Paper Chain People for providing one of the most exciting reads and updates in the blogging sector. The website also provides alot of information on upcoming events and more things alike aswell as EP mixes. Well worth keeping in your favourites.

Anyway "PCP" has finally rejigged up the radio again and has whacked a excellent mix from a nice guy named BAD WEATHER.

Bad Weather (courtesy of: Paper Chain People.squarespace.com)

This is what he had to say about it:

"A mix I have recorded which just sums up alot of what I have been listening to lately, even a bit of charismatic dubstep in there to keep things interesting (Rusko and Caspa). I tried to make it as crazy as I could so that the winter months don't get cold and boring." BW (courtesy of: Paper Chain People.squarespace.com and for more information just click on the heading and it will send you straight to the Paper Chain website.)

Outrageously talented and one funny fucker.

To hear the mix please jump onto the Paper Chain People website which could be easly accessed by just clicking on the heading. Then just following the blog untill you see "CLICK HERE FOR PAPER CHAIN RADIO".

Peace homeboy's and homegirls.

KNIGHTLIFE
(Sydney, AUS)
Cutters Records/Modular Agency
http://www.myspace.com/danceswithknightlife

Knightlife is a disco in your head. A disco crammed to capacity with necksnapping beats, visceral stabs of bass and high camp handclaps to boot. It all began with parental vinyl. There was E.L.O. and the Bee Gees and Fleetwood Mac; there was Giorgio Moroder and 10cc. There was a year of high school trumpet in there at some point too, but that really has nothing to do with anything. Truth be known, film was the original inspiration – Ridley Scott’s opaque cinematic atmospheres, the unhinged surrealism of Terry Gilliam, the brilliance of Francis Ford Coppola – film school soon followed. But you could say that Knightlife was Daft Punk’s fault. Sure, there were a few battered Chic records lying about, but when came down to it, it was Daft Punk that did the most damage. August 2006, in Tokyo, to be precise. It was pilgrimage of
sorts, with the express purpose of seeing the enigmatic Parisian duo live. After witnessing them onstage that day, Knightlife boarded a flight home, switched on a computer and began to create. Tracks to dance to; tracks to listen to anytime and anywhere; dance music with mirror-ball-burning rhythms. Knightlife was born. But that was only the beginning. A debut 12” on Cutters Records and a string of remixes for the likes of Alex Gopher, Midnight Juggernauts and the Bag Raiders quickly ensued. Then it was off to deejay around the globe, most recently in North America supporting his label head-honchos, the all conquering Cut Copy. Now the man in the helmet is back with a new 12”, Knightlife II (Out in May on Cutters Records) features the pulsing synth-disco gem CRUSADER – an epic journey through luscious breakdowns and sheer four-on-the-floor stomp. And DISCOTIRSO – a staccato aerobic house workout to rival Paris’ best. This long-awaited follow up to 2007’s ‘Knightlife I’ will show that the Melbournian wunderkind possesses an ear for music that’s as attuned to the club as it is the lounge room - or kitchen or shower or wherever it is you do most of your dancing. Whatever the case, Knightlife will move your brain and your body.

Peace to Michael Jackson!

Man,

I gotta say he wasn't just my idol but everybody's idol. He's lived the largest life, setting his dreams from the age of 3 till now. Set back the Pop music industrie and changed it to the way its suppose to be. I'd never thought he'd never end, copping a mouthful of allegations and all the rough shit that comes in daily life but he'd show that nothing would of stopped him when it came to be on stage.

You see all the Stars now, dancing like Michael but no-one will cover the knack of his smooth as silk dancing. Fuck, I'd still try the moon-walk and the famous kick when holding the hip. But its a massive fail.

Never wanted it to end this way but life has been cut short for everybody's homeboy, Michael Jackson.

Peace!

Easy Tiger #4 - Classixx (Dim Mak) and Toy Selectah (Mad Decent) @ Shape!

Just this passing Friday has been one of the best sets I've seen at Easy Tiger. Classixx (Kitsune/Dim Mak) tearing the dancefloor apart at 11.45pm and then Toy Selectah (Beresa/ Mad Decent) being on at 12.45pm. I think I'm being biast but man Toy Selectah had done it for me. Smashing out A Milli - Lil Wayne (Toy Selectah refix) and all his famous Cumbian. Reggae. Dancehall shit sent people into a dancing frenzy.

Well I got ahold of some snaps courtesy of WeMetLastNight Photography. You should really check him out. He's one of the dopest blokes you will meet, he's for hire too.

EASY TIGER, CLASSIXX and TOY SELECTAH!

Man the heading says it all.

This months Easy Tiger is gonna be mind blowing. My favourite act, Toy Selectah (Mad Decent) has finally got his Visa approve so I'm so keen to bust out the shoulder shrugs to his Cumbian Grinding beats. Also not to forget to mention Classixx (Dim Mak) who are travelling all the way from LA to smash out a set at Shape tomorrow night.

Its well worth popping your head down to Shape tomorrow night. Come bust your ass on the dance floor and I'm pretty sure if you see any bloke that is on that dance floor doing the shoulder shrugs, its mostlikely me.

Double Headliner.

Toy Selectah (Mexico City, Mexico)
"Cumbia Riddims, Tribal Grindin’ Tropical Hip Hop"
Mad Decent/Beresa Discos
http://www.myspace.com/toyselectahdj

This is all I can say about TOY SELECTAH,

"Cumbia, Tropical Hip Hop, Raggaeton, Urban Dancehall Riddims", call it what you want, just make it sound rad. One of the worlds most highly respected independant dance labels Mad Decent pushes the boarder once more with it’s most recent signing, the all mighty TOY SELECTAH.

CLASSIXX (Los Angeles, USA)
Kitsune/Cobrasnake (Dim Mak)
http://www.myspace.com/classixxmusic

Now with recent remixes for some of the biggest acts as Pheonix, The Ting Tings, Shiny Toy Guns, ourer very own Beni (ex-Riot In Belgium) , and The Sounds, their smooth as silk midtempo electro/disco is making everybody head bopping and looking around. The chic French label KITSUNE have been dishing out all the remix work the boys can throw at them and original productions such as “Cold Act Ill” and “Lost World” now stand up as one of the best classics.

Go do a Nudie!!!

All things nude. I mean Nudie.

What can I say about them? I have 7 pairs of them and seriously its like having my own Subway DC in my own bedroom. The greatest thing about them its the real denim and your paying for top notch jeans. People question me like nearly everyday "why would you spend $230 plus on a pair of jeans?" and my way to go about that is "I rather pay for quality then quantity". Its all true.

The facets of Nudie Jeans is that everytime you wear it you give its own texture and personality. The fade naturally and seriously they turn way better when its had its wear and tear. Most of mine have a wallet fade in the back pocket and a phone fade in my front pocket. Thats what I mean personality.

Most of the Nudie's are Unisex which is great, I'm always stuck in a pair of Skinnies which in their cases are Hai Kai's or Tight Long Johns. But they do all your general jeans style cuts which will suit you're style.

Photobucket

If you's don't have one go ahead and get yourself a pair. Seriously its one of the best investments you make in jeans cause you can go by yourself a cheap pair its not gonna be sufficient enough to last a couple years. Give it a crack guys, you'll understand me when you's wear it.

Click on the heading to get to the Nudie Website for more details.

Daylight Savings!!!

Le Castle Vania (Dylan is real name) must be one of the skinniest DJ's you've ever seen but he sure does make up for size in his BANGIN LOUD LOUD LOUD tunes. Hailing from Atlanta he's made the effort to tour Australia this year, going through out the Eastern States.

Photobucket

Le Castle Vania has teamed up with LA giants LA RIOT's which smashed out his tune "Trouble In Daylight". When I first heard that, my ticker (heart) just started BANGIN. Seriously a heart attack was the last thing I wanted.

I like Chocolate Cookies. Do you?

I've had this mix in my file a while and really keen to play at one of these hectic parties that gets blastered.

The legendary Santogold has produced one song which every Dj out there has atleast mixed once, this will be "Creator - Santogold". Now the ever soo scrumptious Chewy Chocolate Cookies ( www.myspace.com/chewychocolatecookies ) has done a real chewy mix of it. Seriously once you hear it you'll definetly be buzzing and the ears will be dropping down to the floor.

Man I love College!!!

Why do people have a love hate relationship with College? Seriously from what I've heard from Asher Roth (www.myspace.com/asherrothmusic), he makes it sound so fucking grand.

Photobucket *courtesy of: Aldoaressa*

Now Kid Static (www.myspace.com/kidstatic) has done one massive waffle mix of "I Love College - Asher Roth" which has got me thinking about Dubstep alot more now. The bass which is involved with Kid Statics mix leaves me head bopping all day and trying to dance to it *note: I can't dance for shit*.

Well go ahead and bust your balls and titts on this mix and do what you need to do.

A Milli A Milli... Psyched, its not that song!

Photobucket

Man what can I say about M.I.A , she's just one of those girls that just blows your mind with her lyrical concoctions. Now's she's teamed up with a new artist, producer and writer KOVAS.

When I heard the new release of M.I.A's "HIT THAT" I was like what the fuck? Thats not the song I wanted when I got ahold of it. But I gave it time and now I'm stuck to it.

All I can say is its dope, if you love the sound of old school cash registery putting through a sale then go ahead and get it.

Who? What? When? Where? Ohh yeah!

Well, well, well. What do we have here? Shit.

Now next week's coming Saturday (June 6th) will have two BANGIN parties thrown in two different sides of Perth. So all you party goers will have to show some comittment.
